14 November 2024 the exhibition “Visions” opens at the Photography Museum, reflecting the search for novelty and originality in 20th century Lithuanian photography. It presents avant-garde, modern, experimental and conceptual Lithuanian photography, as well as the different approaches of its creators, which have influenced the development of photographic trends. The exhibition will run until 8 December 2024.

The exhibition (already presented at this year’s Białystok Interphoto Festival at the Podlaskie Museum in Białystok under the title “VISIONS”) features works from the Photography Museum, the Lithuanian Photographers Association, the Lithuanian National Museum of Art, and private collections, and reflects the diverse and complex development of Lithuanian photography, highlighting individual innovations and the unrelenting pursuit of originality and expression.
